The Site Administrator

I currently work at Bury College near Manchester (UK) where I teach Physics, Maths and Engineering. Previously I have worked at Pendleton College in Manchester teaching IT and at Macclesfield College in Cheshire teaching Physics and Engineering. In addition to full time teaching I have worked as a part time Maths lecturer for Salford College and as an exam board moderator and portfolio advisor.

Prior to teaching I worked for seventeen years in engineering. I initially trained as an electrician, but then retrained to become an electrical/electronics engineer. I have worked on a range of electro-mechanical systems including specialist computer systems. A large part of my career has been spent working in medical electronics/physics. My final post in industry before embarking on a teaching career was as a Chief Technician at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester.

As well as my vocational experience, I have always had an interest in physics, astronomy, electronics, and computing. The Science Campus combines these interests. In addition to making use of the website with my current students, I hope to provide a good quality and comprehensive internet resource for science and technology subjects. I also hope that the site will bring me into contact with people with similar interests some of who will hopefully want to contribute to the development of the site.
